Sportsfriends is coming!

Are you in the NYC? Itching for some J.S. Joust and other rad indie multiplayer games? We’re throwing an event at Parsons next Friday! Details below. We hope you’ll join us.

(Facebook event here)

Meanwhile, more announcements are on the horizon – hopefully soon!

Grab a partner and compete in a series of four acclaimed indie multiplayer games – Hokra, Pole Riders, BaraBariBall, and Johann Sebastian Joust.

You, the public, and a special appearance by the four game makers – Ramiro Corbetta, Bennett Foddy (by Skype), Noah Sasso, Douglas Wilson.

The event is totally free and open to the public. Bring friends!

Friday, September 7th
7pm – 11:30pm

Parsons Design and Technology Lab, 12th Floor
6 East 16th Street, between Union Square West and 5th Avenue (map)
Manhattan, NY

When you get into the building, tell security that you are going to the games event on the 12th floor.

7:15-7:45pm – Intro panel featuring the four game makers
7:45-8:00pm – Tournament sign-ups
8:00-11:30pm – Games!

What if I can’t bring a partner?

No worries! We’ll find you a partner at the event.

What is the tournament format?

We’ll be announcing that at the event. But, given that it’s a quadrathlon, teams will compete at all four games. Exciting!

What if I’m nervous about competing?

Don’t be! The event is more about hanging out and enjoying co-located play than it is about serious “competition.” Nevertheless, if you can’t stay the whole time, feel free to at least stop by to watch some of the action and play some more informal games.
